The Best Dish Wins

Students of grades 6, 7, and 8 seized the opportunity to display their culinary skills by participating in the Inter-House Cook-Off on the 27th of June. Participants were required to bring their own ingredients, cutlery, and crockery. They were given 1.5 hours to create the edible masterpiece of their choice. Each house was to permit four representatives from each grade to participate in this cook-off.

As soon as the clock struck half-past 10, the participants immersed themselves in the competition with much fervour and determination to bag an admirable victory for their house. Students of grade 6, given the theme of desserts, satisfied the judges’ sweet tooth by exhibiting desserts ranging from ‘Pop Surprises’ to ‘Ferrero Rocher Treats.' The students of grade 7, presented with the theme, 'Wraps/Sandwiches' displayed a wide array of food items including paneer, veg mayonnaise, and chicken tortilla sandwiches. Finally, the 8th graders wowed the panel of judges by creating a remarkable feast that comprised chicken quesadilla, chicken tikka, pasta with a side of garlic bread, and more.

Despite the commendable efforts of all participants, only one house could win from each grade:

Grade 6 - Autumn

Grade 7 - Autumn

Grade 8 - Summer

And the overall winners were Summer House! Congratulations!

After being subject to thorough scrutiny by the judges and our principal, Mrs. Ambika Gulati, the participants enjoyed a hearty meal and celebrated a job well done.
