The TMS grounds came alive with energetic cheers and enthusiastic participation in the Sports Day held on December 8. The event occurs annually to enable students to not only show their sporting prowess but also culminate the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and inclusion.
Sports Day began with a march past featuring each house and the passing of the Olympic torch. However, it only came into full swing once the meet was declared open and the games were in progress. Participants sprinted across the field with phenomenal speed in the 50m & 100m races, Long Jump, Triple Jump, and relay. Their teammates cheered them on from the sidelines as they donned war paint to express allegiance to their teams. Pupils across Middle & Senior Schools moved to the beat in elaborate formations with sustainable props during the inter-house dance-off, interspersed between the athletic events.
Medallists were announced spontaneously after their respective sporting events had taken place. The athletic meet fully concluded with an address by the principal and the much-awaited reveal of the House Cup holder, awarded to Summer House. We applaud all the winners and participants of the event and wish them success in future endeavours!
