Inter School Athletics

TMS Inter-school athletics this year involved two different competitions. The first competition took place over two days on the 12th as well as 13th of November 2022 in Abu Dhabi Indian School (ADIS), it comprised two age categories – under 19, and under 17. It included several events including 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, 1500 meters, shotput, long jump 4x100 meter relay, and 4x400 meter relay. Team TMS bought back a number of medals, certificates, and Ayesha Tarique won Individual Champion in the under-17 category, bagging a trophy. The winners are listed below:

1. Ayesha Tarique (8D) - gold in 100m, 200m, 400m, and silver in long jump

2. Nishkka Kathpal (11B) - Gold in 800m, 1500m, and silver in 400m

3. Aadhya Amitabh (11G) - Silver in 200m, bronze in 100m

4. Kayleen Rebello (12C) - bronze in 200m

5. Abdullah Tarique (12A) - Gold in 1500m, Bronze in 800m

6. Kendrick Varela (11E) - Bronze in 800m, Silver in 1500m

7. Abdul Shaik (12B) - Silver in Shotput

8. Under 17 girls 4x100 relay - Gold

9. Under 19 girls 4x100 relay - Gold

The next competition took place at Dubai Police Club Stadium on 28th November 2022. This relay competition had many schools competing against one another as Our Own Indian High School’s annual sports day. This event had only one age category which was under 19. The girls' athletics team of TMS has rendered the school extremely proud due to its accomplishments
