Teachers form the most underappreciated part of the school system, working day, and night to provide an enriching learning experience for students. To step into the shoes of our mentors and better understand all the different aspects of the teaching process, the school developed the Pupil-Teacher Award wherein participating students from grade 12 were tasked with designing a lesson plan on a topic of their choice for one of the junior sections.
The preliminary round ran from the 13th till the 16th of June; the fiercely competitive nature of this contest inspired the 25 participants to come up with innovative and original ideas for their lessons. Some took their class to the lab, simulating a physically engaging learning experience, and others constructed engrossing activities to be done within classrooms. 13 of the students qualified for the next round, and with the pupil-teacher award being among the most prestigious awards offered by TMS, the capabilities of the contestants only have room to grow.
