“Even on your toughest days, you’ve just got to keep pushing don’t you?”
Being the ideal student is everyone’s dream, but how close can you actually get? TMS hosted 4 of GEMS’ brightest stars in the latest edition of ‘In Conversation With…’ as they talked about balancing studies and their social lives, how they worked for their highs, and how they managed their lows.
Nuha Pattani, Nishkka Kathpal, and Aishwarya Bhattacharya were the three students spotlighted in this session, each bringing to the table a different story and different struggles.
Nishkka, a TMS student herself, scored an outstanding 98.8% overall percentage in her Board Examinations and credited her parents as her main motivation to secure her rank, saying “They’ve done so much for me, and I felt like putting my heart into it was the least I could do to pay them back.”

Nuha, currently studying at New Millennium School, talked about the struggles of balancing debate, sports, and college applications, among other pursuits. She shared an anecdote about struggling to finish her college application essay, and the various lessons she learnt from it, along with the promise to lessen her procrastinating.
Aishwarya, who’s passionate about dance, shared her experience with being overworked and mentally burnt out, balancing examinations and dance competitions. When asked about burnout, she shared: “At a point, I didn’t know what to do and was ready to give up, but I kept pushing forward and I don’t regret it in the slightest.”
No matter how low you may feel, promise yourself you’ll get there, and you’ll reach heights you never could have thought of.”
The session also involved a QNA section with the audience, as members got to learn more about the stories of these bright talents, and what it can take to get where you want to be. If there’s one quote to be taken away from this session, it has to be this one by Nishkka “No matter how low you may feel, promise yourself you’ll get there, and you’ll reach heights you never could have thought of.”
