“Success and failure is a mindset” TMS invited one of the finest RJs from Radio Mirchi to enlighten a young group of students. He was of utmost humility as he waved off any kind of formal greetings and straightaway encouraged everyone to get accustomed to a friendly discussion. A man with a love for zombie movies and anime series, he talked passionately about his inspirations Kevin Hart, Tanmay Bhat, and more. He tackled some serious issues like societal stereotypes when it came to job prospects.
As a computer engineer graduate himself, he has experienced extreme pressure from the world as he chose to pursue an ‘unconventional’ career. But he strongly stated that success and failure are just a mindset and that whatever works for us must be our definition of success. He talked about how even during the lowest points in his life, as soon as he went on air, there was a flip switch in him.

This was the result of him taking up something that made him happy and content with his abilities. He quoted that “If you are not the best at what you do, no one will remember you.” He didn’t necessarily believe in the idea of looking up to successful people because it is important to appreciate the struggle and journey to our goal. Another important
point he spoke about was the growing attention to content creation. Mr Dhawan asserted that everyone can speak, but not everyone can be a presenter. He introduced new paths in the world of content making such as podcasts, Tik Tok videos, and scriptwriting. Yet, he still pushed the fact that education is very important to even understand the new demands in jobs and careers.
All in all, the session was highly interesting and very easy to engage with. There was a lot to take away from this and there was a lot of positive feedback from all the students. Everyone left the meeting with something new to carry on their day with. As Mr. Varun Dhawan says, “Bring your own flair to it!”
