Heart over Height.

This pandemic certainly proved to be a squandering time for our sports players. From playing back-to-back inter-school and inter-house matches to suddenly, being instructed to complete workouts at home left everyone disappointeed, especially for our basketball players. But this year was unlike any others.

Both boys and girls participated in three inter-school tournaments and were placed in different positions for their categories. On the 12th of June, the under13 girls basketball team played the finals match against DPS, Dubai, and came out as winners of the 15th Indian Basketball League. Pihu Darshan of 8A received the ‘best player’ award. The most recent game played by our under15 girls basketball team was The Dubai School Games hosted by the Dubai Sports Council, which focuses on investing in UAE youth with the vision of helping educational institutes and nurturing Olympic success. Our girls team managed to place second among the various schools that took part in this league.

TMS also went on and participated in the 3rd under17 Gems Modern Academy Basketball tournament, securing the runners-up trophy with Mahi Vishwasrao of 12A receiving the ‘most promising player’ award.
