Happy Teachers' Day.

Updated: Sep 24, 2022

Behind every student’s success is a hardworking teacher.

Every year Teacher’s day is celebrated on the 5th of September to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

Following the traditions set by past students, the senior students of TMS organized a fun and interactive assembly for our teachers on their special day. This year’s program included various new elements that were carefully designed by the students to entertain them thoroughly.

Our teachers were welcomed by the cheers of students and their heart-filling notes and posters that were displayed in the school quadrangle. The start of the programme was done on the note of a short and beautiful prayer. The evening was kicked off with a dance performance by the girls of Grade 11. Following this was the melodious English choir.

To further the evening's enjoyment, there were activities and games arranged for our teachers. The first game played was ‘Guess the Teacher’ which brought about some exciting revelations. Succeeding this was the dance performance by the girls of Grade 12 allowing the teachers to reminisce on old Hindi songs. The next game played was none other than everyone’s all-time favourite Musical Chairs. The last dance performance yet the most energetic one was the South Indian dance by the boys of Grade 12.

After which, Rebekah Aranha and Anoushka Pawar performed an accordant duet for our teachers. The new elements introduced this year were next to follow - our teachers' performances and a teacher's and student's collaboration. The grand finale of this event was marked by a splendid dance performance by our students of junior school which proved to shock even the senior students.

The entire event was a superhit entirely organised by our senior students and supervisors who proceeded to make this Teachers Day a memorable one for all.
