Thinking Big

Writing is a versatile skill that extends beyond the confines of academic essays and articles. It serves as a valuable tool for effective communication, whether in professional or personal contexts.

On September 26th, 2023, The Big Write was introduced as a school initiative at TMS, aiming to instill and nurture this fundamental value in students. Taking place during the first period, students were allotted thirty minutes to craft a creative piece inspired by a simple image. The sole guideline was to transform an ostensibly ordinary picture into a vivid narrative, allowing for a multitude of creative interpretations. This challenge not only sparked imagination but also honed the ability to think swiftly and efficiently, a crucial skill applicable in real-world writing scenarios. Furthermore, as this event spanned all grade levels, it provided a comprehensive view of students' writing proficiency across the school.

The Big Write is poised to yield an array of literary creations, ranging from poems and short stories to essays and more. The most outstanding pieces will soon grace the school's corridors, showcasing the talent and creativity of its students.
