The Winter Carnival

Growing up in TMS, one of the most exciting events for me were the carnivals. Everything about them made me eager to attend. Due to Covid, it had been three years since the last winter carnival. Until January 14th, 2023, when our school bought back the annual tradition of the winter carnival which was open to students, their immediate families, and TMS alumni.

All the money raised from the tickets was donated to Dubai Cares, and the proceeds made during the carnival were used for the ‘Adopt a School’ program, where this year we supported the education of underprivileged girls in Africa. This fun-filled experience proceeded to a good cause.

We had nearly 60 exciting stalls managed by the sponsors and students themselves with the support of their respective class teachers. An entire area was dedicated to carnival snacks like ice cream, cotton candy, and chaat. In the quadrangle, bouncy castles were arranged for the children as well as a game of ‘housie’. Children were also encouraged to perform on a stage in the turf and at the auditorium.

Apart from this, we also had a thrilling raffle draw with amazing prizes and a flash mob performed by students of all grades every two hours. It is safe to say that this year’s carnival was a huge success, and we could not have done it without the support of our teachers. Thank you TMS for yet another carnival where we created unforgettable memories!
