English Day

Updated: May 29, 2023

Every year, our school conducts a program to honour the Bard of Avon, the legend of English literature, William Shakespeare. It is traditionally observed as both his birth and death date. Worldwide, it is celebrated on the 23rd of April. In our school this year, we celebrated English day on Friday the 28th of April.

The program started with some shows put up by the primary students, followed by skits, raps, dances and poems by the middle and senior school students. The students of grade 6 participated in a choir that included some folk songs that helpers in the olden era sang.

Though there were limited classes, the number of activities that each class showcased weren’t

limited at all. Students who didn’t participate in the on-stage activities, took part in recording the program and also controlled the background visuals and audios along with Tamil Priya ma’am.

As I end this article, I extend my gratitude to all the English teachers who have supported the

students, and my appraisals to all the students who worked really hard to make this event a

success.
