Cricket is a binding glue for the Indian nation, asserting several emotions from Indians living under the same roof. It was introduced in the Indian subcontinent in the 18th century, and in 1932, India was officially invited to make their debut as a test-playing nation. Now, cricket has become one of the most famous sports in the country.

Over the last five years, TMS has formed a stellar cricket team. This month, we saw our young sportsmen compete in the prestigious 14th Shreyas Memorial Inter-School Cricket Tournament. Their first match was against Delhi Private School (DPS), whom they unfortunately lost against. Their next game was against Gems Modern Academy. It was a tough match wherein it was hard to call a winner, but sadly GMA beat TMS.

Just as the saying goes, however, third time’s the charm. The TMS team beat Our Own Indian High School in their third and final match. An honorable mention must be given to Shane Saldanha and Abhimaan Sharma, both of whom spectacularly scored 35+ points and took two wickets.
