TMS Career Fest

As students move to higher grades, they are suddenly bombarded with thoughts and questions like -What am I passionate about? What is the right career for me? What can I do to achieve my academic goals?

It can be a confusing and frustrating time for most of us as we explore our own minds and the world around us. One way to achieve clarity in our academics is through career fairs. That’s why on May 4th, 2023 the TMS Career Fair was organized in the auditorium from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It was open to both parents and students from grades 9-12. With 26 participating universities as well as a few career guidance counsellors the fair displayed a wide range of opportunities, from Gulf Medical University for medicine to Istituto Marangoni for those interested in design.

Career fairs are a great way for students to see what kinds of courses are being offered by universities and to map out the next couple of years

based on their requirements. It can give them a clear idea of how to apply to their preferred university and provide them with important details like the fee structure, scholarships, etc. The guidance counsellors are also helpful as they make us aware of lesser-known rising careers and can help us find a career that aligns with our interests.

It was not only an eye-opening event for all those who attended but also motivated us to work hard to be able to get accepted into our dream university. We hope to see more career-related events throughout the year and wish the best of luck to everyone preparing for their future!
